Day 1: Airport – Negombo

Pass By: Negombo, Negombo, Western Province
You will be welcomed by our representative at the airport on arrival.
Transfer to the hotel in Negombo.
Check in to the hotel and relax.

Day 2: Negombo – Dambulla

Stop At: Negombo Fish Market, Negombo Sri Lanka
After breakfast check out from the hotel and visit the Negombo fish market.

Negombo fish market is a unique and cool place in the country to visit on your backpacking trip. It’s one of the most authentic fresh fish markets in Sri Lanka. It’s the most recommended place to visit when you find yourself in the area. Hence, if you like easy-priced, but high-quality seafood and fresh fish.

Then proceed to Galewela via Kurunegala

The terraced gardens are formed from the natural hill at the base of the Sigiriya rock. A series of terraces rise from the pathways of the boulder garden to the staircases on the rock. These have been created by the construction of brick walls, and are located in a roughly concentric plan around the rock.

Day 3: Dambulla – Kandy

The nursery has for demonstration several plants such as turmeric, vanilla, cardamom, ginger, nutmeg trees. There are many medicinal plants too. They are opened for visitors, observe all the nursery techniques. Many tourists visit this garden daily and here they can buy spices and herbal medicines. The Temple of Tooth at the final location of the Sacred Kandy is Tooth (Left Canine) of the Buddha, which was brought to Sri Lanka during the reign of King Kirtisri Megahavanna (301-328) by Prince Danta and Princess Hemamala from the kingdom of Kalinga, India. It became the paladium of the Sri Lankan Kings and was preciously guarded in a special Shrine built within the precincts of the royal palace, wherever the capital was located. The ruins of such edifices remain in ancient capitals of Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, Dambabeniya, Yapahuwa, Kurunegala, Kotte, and Gampola, while at Kandy, the last capital, the Sacred Tooth Relic Temple continues to be the greatest Shrine that receives the utmost veneration of the Buddhist world.

Day 4: Kandy – Nuwara Eliya

Stop At: Royal Botanical Gardens, Peradeniya Road, Peradeniya 20400 Sri Lanka
After breakfast check out from the hotel and visit Peradeniya Botanical garden.

This is noted for its rich and varied collections of tropical woody plants. Occupying 59 hectares (146 acres), it has about 4,000 species of plants. The most important specimens of the garden include palms, some of which are planted in impressive avenues.

Then proceed to Nuwara Eliya

Blue Field Tea Factory is situated in a highlands of Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka Nuwara Eliya situated at around 2000 m above Sea Level. Which is surrounded by misty mountains and lush Tea Plants – Blue Field Tea Factory. Nuwara Eliya situated at around 2000 m above Sea Level.

Then continue your travel toward Nuwara Eliya.

Day 5: Nuwara Eliya – Thissamaharama

Experience the most scenic train journeys you can have in Sri Lanka- Nanuoya to Ella.

You will be picked up by your chauffeur at Ella station.

Stop At: Rawana Falls, Wellawaya-Ella-Kumbalwela Hwy, Ella 90090 Sri Lanka
Then visit the Ella gap and Rawana Fall.
This waterfall measures approximately 25 m (82 ft) in height and cascades from an oval-shaped concave rock outcrop. During the local wet season, the waterfall turns into what is said to resemble an areca flower with withering petals. But this is not the case in the dry season, where the flow of water reduces dramatically. The falls form part of the Ravana Ella Wildlife Sanctuary and are located 6 km (3.7 mi) away from the local railway station at Ella

Day 6: Thissamaharama – Hikkaduwa

Stop At: Yala National Park, Yala National Park
Early morning do a wildlife safari at Yala national park by a safari jeep.

Yala combines a strict nature reserve with a national park. Divided into 5 blocks, the park has a protected area of nearly 130,000 hectares of land consisting of light forests, scrubs, grasslands, tanks, and lagoons. Two blocks are currently opened to the public.
Yala is home to 44 varieties of mammal and 215 bird species. Among its more famous residents are the world’s biggest concentration of leopards.

Back to the hotel and take your breakfast.

Then check out from the hotel and proceed to Hikkaduwa.

Stop At: Stilt Fishermen Sri Lanka, Koggala Sri Lanka
En-route visit Stilt fishermen at Koggala

Stilt fishing is a method of fishing unique to the island country of Sri Lanka, located off the coast of India in the Indian Ocean. The fishermen sit on a crossbar called a petta tied to a vertical pole and driven into the sand a few meters offshore. From this high position, the fishermen cast their line and wait until a fish comes along to be caught.

Stop At: Galle Fort, Church Street, Galle 80000 Sri Lanka
Then visit Galle old Dutch fort.

Galle Fort is in Galle, which is located at the extreme southwest corner of the island, in the southwest coast of Sri Lanka, where the shoreline turns east towards Matara and Tangalle. The fort, like most of the forts in Sri Lanka, is built on a small rocky peninsula, belonging to the sea as much as to the land.

Stop At: Kosgoda Sea Turtle Conservation Project, 13A Galle Road, Kosgoda 80570 Sri Lanka
On the way to Hikkaduwa visit the Kosgoda sea turtle conservation center.
Turtle Conservation and Research Center is the largest turtle protecting center in Kosgoda and also in Sri Lanka. It has a large tank and wide beach area. The sea turtle does not have teeth but has a sharp jaw with modified ‘beaks’ that helps them eat.

Day 7: Hikkaduwa – Departure

Stop At: Colombo, Colombo, Western Province

Do a Colombo city tour including BMICH, Independence square, Town Hall, Gangarama temple, and Pettah bazaar. (You can view only the outside view of those places as this is just only a vehicle tour. )

After that, you will be dropped off to the Airport.
