Immerse yourself in Colombo’s ancient history and modern culture on this small-group walking tour. You’ll get out from behind glass bus windows and experience the bustle of the city yourself by traveling on foot. Your guide will provide insightful commentary as you travel and you’ll have plenty of time to ask questions.
This walking tour is also combined with a few Tuk Tuk rides which you gives you an authentic experience of daily Sri Lankan life. Part proceeds of the tour are channeled towards the education of orphaned children that I sponsor towards providing them with a better future

Stop At: Galle Face Green, Galle Road, Colombo Sri Lanka
Based on the time of the day, you will be able to see the activities on the Green whilst getting a glimpse into the past of the green with iconic buildings such as the Old Parliament and the famous Galle Face Hotel.
Duration: 15 minutes
Stop At: Colombo Fort Clock Tower, Colombo Sri Lanka
You will be taken through the heart of the central business district which is full of colonial architecture. The clock tower in fort is a unique structure in the city on many aspects.

Stop At: Pettah, Colombo Sri Lanka
Explore first hand the busy markets of the Pettah Bazaar. Pettah Market is where Sri Lankan’s come to find super deals on food. The market distributes a lot of wholesale fruits and vegetables, so many buy in bulk. Vendors deliver their goods as fast as possible, sprawling everything out onto the ground and hustling to make sales, just like at Hanoi’s Long Bien market.

Fort railway station is a major rail hub in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The station is served by Sri Lanka Railways, with many inter-city and commuter trains entering each day. Fort Station is the main rail gateway to central Colombo; it is the terminus of most intercity trains in the country.

Stop At: Gangaramaya (Vihara) Buddhist Temple, 61 Sri Jinaratana Road, Colombo Sri Lanka
The Gangaramaya Buddhist Temple is the main temple in the Colombo city with it’s unique architecture influenced by many culture. It has the main features of a Vihara (temple), the Cetiya (Pagada) the Bodhitree, the Vihara Mandiraya, the Seema malaka (assembly hall for monks) and the Relic Chamber. In addition, a museum, a library, a residential hall, a three storeyed Pirivena, educational halls and an alms hall are also on the premises.
