Itinerary
Day 1: Colombo – Udawalawe
Stop At: Udawalawa, Udawalawa, Sabaragamuwa Province
we leave Colombo and head towards Udawalawa National Park. Check in to the hotel and enjoy a few hours of rest before heading into Udawalawa National Park in the evening for a game drive. On completion you will return to the hotel.

Udawalawe National Park is an area of 31,800 hectares, which was declared a protected sanctuary with full national park status in 1972. The park area which falls within two provinces of Sri Lanka has an annual rainfall of 1,520 mm and an average temperature of 29.4 C. Surrounded by mountain ranges, the terrain of the park is a mixture of grassland, which of all Sri Lanka’s wildlife reserves, best rivals the Savanna of Africa and shrub jungle. Teak plantations, water holes and two important factors make this park special – the large Udawalawe Reservoir and the Walewe River, which ensure a supply of water for the fauna within. Internationally renowned for its large herd of elephants, the park is also known for several species of Deer, Wild Boar, the dangerous Wild Buffalo, Jackal and very rare sightings of Leopard.

Day 2: Udawalawe – Yala
Stop At: Yala National Park, Yala National Park
Today you drive to Yala National Park for a fantastic wildlife experience. Upon arrival at Yala , Today embark on an evening safari at the Wilpattu National Park and enjoy Sri Lanka’s real wilderness.

Yala – Sri Lanka’s most known National Park is popular for Elephant, Leopard, Bear, Crocodile and Wild Boar.
97,800 hectares in extent, this is the second largest of Sri Lanka’s National Parks. Its open undulating terrain made it famous for elephants for many years, but recently the park has also received much fame through publicity by National Geographic and the Discovery TV channels, which focused on a leopard research/conservation and identification project. Claims have subsequently been made that Yala National Park has the world’s highest concentration of leopard per square kilometre. Vegetation is prim arily grassland and shrub jungle with patches of dense growth while several salt and fresh water lagoons are a haven for a large variety of resident and migrant birds. Areas popular with leopard are rock strewn hillocks with dense shrub in which the animals hide.

Day 3: Yala – Hummanaya
Stop At: Hummanaya Blow Hole, Kudawella, Tangalle Sri Lanka
Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel’s main restaurant, today we are leaving another exciting beach destination Hummanaya for taking a chance a magnificent experience.
Hummanaya Blowhole is the only known blowhole in Sri Lanka and it is considered to be the second largest blowhole in the world. Hummanaya refers to the noise, “hoo”, that can be heard a distance away when the blowhole is active.
