Day 1: Colombo/Negombo – Nuwara Eliya

Stop At: Victoria Park of Nuwara Eliya, A5, Nuwara Eliya 22200 Sri Lanka
Victoria Park is a well-maintained park situated in the heart of Nuwara Eliya. The park also has a children’s play area, and some rides, that make the place enjoyable for all ages alike. The pretty flowers, serene ponds, and many other scenic spots in the park would also make it an excellent location for clicking beautiful photographs. Victoria Park is in the centre of the city of Nuwara Eliya. The Victoria Park is known for its collection of rare flowering plants that grow there. One can also enjoy looking for and spotting the exotic birds like the Kashmir Flycatcher, the Indian Blue Robin, the Grey Tit, etc.

Stop At: Gregory Lake, Nuwara Eliya Sri Lanka
Lake Gregory is a local reservoir situated in the city of Nuwara Eliya. It is a popular place for tourists to visit and enjoy some recreational activities. The lake was named after Sir William Gregory, in 1873, during the British era. Tourists can roam around the lake with the help of boats available for hire. Lakes are always known to be the perfect getaway for some peaceful time. The Gregory Lake is one such popular spot in Nuwara Eliya. Thronged by tourists wanting to appreciate nature, this lake is perfect for picnics, strolls, and even bicycle rides. The lake has small restaurants around as well, so you can have some snacks while exploring. This place is a must-visit to get a dose of tranquillity and peace.

Stop At: Bomburu Ella Waterfall, Nuwara Eliya Sri Lanka
Coined as the widest waterfall in Sri Lanka, the Bomburu Ella Falls, also known as Perawella Falls, is a natural work of art. Fed by the upper segment of the principal tributary of the Uma River, the waterfall is a collection of little jungle waterfalls branched together, creating 165 feet. Along the trek to the top of Bomburu Ella, one may stumble on roughly 8 little jungle waterfalls situated above. Each play their own part in the creation of Bomburu Ella Falls with their rivulet branches flowing in, collectively paving way to what is now classed as the widest waterfall in Sri Lanka.

Day 2: Nuwara Eliya – Negombo/Colombo

Stop At: Pedro Tea Factory, Nuwara Eliya Sri Lanka
The Pedro Tea Estate is a famous tea farm located about 3.5 kilometres away from the city of Nuwara Eliya. It is known for its cultivation of Pure Ceylon Tea, grown on the terraces of the Pidurutalagala mountain. You can visit the fields, and even pick some tea leaves with the help of the workers. There is an outdoor cafe as well, where you can sip on some quality Pure Ceylon tea, and even buy some to take home as souvenirs. Here, you get to visit the tea factory where the tea is processed and packed before exporting.

Stop At: Lover’s Leap Falls, Hawa Eliya, Nuwara Eliya 22200 Sri Lanka
The Lover’s Leap is a beautiful waterfall nestled among-st the tea plantation hills. Tourists can visit this place when they visit the Pedro Tea Estate since the waterfalls are nearby. The waterfall has many myths and stories associated with it, which makes it even more exciting and attractive. Tourists have to hike up the hill to get to the waterfalls which are one of the lesser-known and lesser-visited tourist spots in Nuwara Eliya, so tourists can leisurely explore the place. It is about 3.5 kilometers away from the central city and easily accessible via local transport.

Stop At: Seetha Amman Kovil, WRM6+76R, Seetha Eliya, Sri Lanka
The Seetha Amman Temple is a small temple located in the village of Seetha Eliya in Sri Lanka. It is about a kilometre away from the Hakgala Botanical Gardens, and about 5 to 6 kilometres away from the central city of Nuwara Eliya. It is a shrine for Sita Devi, the daughter of Mother Earth and wife of Lord Rama, from the Ramayana. The temple is built on the site where Sita Devi was believed to be kept as a prisoner by King Ravana. The temple premises also has Lord Hanuman’s footprints and the river Seetha from where different deities were recovered.
