Day 1

At 7 am our friendly driver will pick you up from your hotel in Colombo to start your journey to Kalawana. Upon arrival, you will meet your trekker at the entrance of Sinharaja where you will begin your 5-hour hike through the rain-forest. See the rarest species of birds, reptiles, and plants that are endemic to Sinharaja and Sri Lanka. Your tour guide will take you through man-made trails and you will have opportunity to capture amazing photos on your camera. After walking for two hours, you will head to WaterFalls, another beautiful waterfall hidden in the forest. Mingle with local villagers before enjoying your mouth-watering local lunch, wrapped in banana leaf. Overnight stay in hotel Udawalawa

 Tips, Notes and Special remark –

No.1 – There are multiple trails inside Sinharaja and except Sinhagala Trail others can be managed in one day quite easily. You’d probably need a full day to do the Sinhagala Trail.

No.2 – Carry a repellent for the leaches or buy leach proof socks from the Martin’s lodge (300 LKR)

No.3 – Follow some leech protection method. Either Leech socks or leech repellents.

Day 2

Today you will embark on a scenic drive to Udawalawa National Park covers an area of 230,821 hectares and was declared in 1972. This Park is rich in Elephant population as the Park has about 500 Elephants. Wild Buffalo, Spotted Deer, Barking Deer, Wild Boar, Sambhur, Hare, Mongoose, Crocodile and 30 species of Snakes are recorded.Three Circuit Bungalows are available at Seenuggala, Weheragolla, and Thimbiriyamankada and 2 Camp sites are at Weheramankada and Pransadara. 50 species of Butterflies and many species of Birds are found in the Park.
