Stop At: Port of Colombo කොළඹ වරාය கொழும்பு துறைமுகம், 19 Chaithya Rd, Colombo 00100, Sri Lanka

– Great place to check out the construction of the GREAT PORT CITY COMING UP. This used to be the Lighthouse directing ships entering the port of Colombo. Chatham Street, which keeps adding new restaurants, pubs, and bars to its scene. en route we’ll swing past the President’s House, This section of Colombo is particularly fascinating given that it was closed to the public for more than 30 years due to civil war and security considerations. We’ll stop briefly in front of the former passenger terminal gate in the Colombo harbour also.

Stop At: Jami Ul-Alfar Mosque, Second Cross Street, Colombo 01100 Sri Lanka

Jami Ul-Alfar Mosque is in the centre of the port area of old Columbo and it is a very unique building with impressive architecture. It is a distinctive red and white candy-striped two-storey building, with a clock tower, and is reminiscent of the Jamek Mosque in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (constructed in 1910).

This is a street full of market stalls. Meander around, sampling local food and drinks, or shopping in the colourful shops of the market a series of open-air bazaars and markets. it is non-stop dodging people, buses, lorries, bullock carts, bikes, other tuk-tuks.

Stop At: Christian Reformed Church of Sri Lanka, Wolfendhal Ln, Colombo 01300, Sri Lanka

Is one of the most important Dutch Colonial-era buildings in Sri Lanka, and is one of the oldest Protestant churches still in use in the country which is 360 years old is the oldest Dutch reformed church in Sri Lanka. The church may not be in the best shape, but it’s one of the most significant reminders of the various colonial occupations throughout Sri Lanka’s history

Stop At: ஸ்ரீ கைலேஸ்வரம் கோவில் – Sri Kaileswaram Temple – ශ්‍රී කෛලේශ්වරම් කෝවිල, 11/15 Kovil St, Colombo 01000, Sri Lanka

Though the kovil is called the oldest in Colombo, a lot of the structures are new. The coat of paint certainly is, and they’re building more off to the side. The main kovil that is a square around an inner sanctum.

This is where Sri Lanka claimed independence from the British in 1948. The monument and park here are of great significance to Sri Lankans. currently, it is a great place to relax in Colombo. As It’s a part monument, part park, part walking ground.

Stop At: Gangaramaya (Vihara) Buddhist Temple, 61 Sri Jinaratana Road, Colombo Sri Lanka

One of the main Buddhist temples in Colombo, the cool, calming Gangaramaya is known for its architecture, paintings, and collection of artefacts from various historical eras. Additionally, it is well known for its contribution to Buddhist education.
