Part 01 of the tour: We will meet at the location agreed upon, welcome and greetings. We start walking & enjoy the sea breeze of Galle Face Green and the sceneries around. Old Parliament, Old Colombo Clock Tower Lighthouse, Dutch Hospital, Ceylon Last Kings’ Prison-cell, Presidents House, Old Post Office, Grant Orient Hotel, Over 100 years old red mosque, Pettah Bazaar, Kayman’s Gate, Old Town Hall, Dutch Museum, Fort Train Station are some of the monuments from colonial Ceylon and could enjoy the busy streets in Pettah. During our walk, we will try typically local refreshments, the King Coconut, and if you are like could try some snacks from roadside huts
Part 2 of the tour: Go around by car in modern City, drive through the Galle, and visit Gangaramaya Buddhist Temple, Lord Murugan Hindu Temple, Colombo Town Hall & a little walk inside the Viharamahadevi Park (Victoria Park), later witness the Nelum Pokuna Theater, National Museum, Independent square Memorial Hall, Old Racecourse, Colombo university, and etc. After we will visit a Pioneer Gem merchant to find your lucky stone and do some shopping as you wish. After, drive to Capital City Kotte, witness New Parliament, and visit Diytha Uyana Park for a Tea break or for lunch. On our way back to Colombo, optional visit to the Lotus Tower in Colombo.
