Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product
Stop At: SSC – Sinhalese Sports Club, 35 Maitland Pl, Colombo 00700, Sri Lanka
We will visit a few historic cricket clubs, and see some important memorabilia that has been preserved in the country over the course of cricket history in Sri Lanka. It’s a good way to get a full overview of the island’s existing grounds, significant matches that have been played over the years, as well as get an in-depth look at the notable players, such as the legendary Sri Lankan off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan, known for being the highest wicket-taker in history of Test cricket.
After the visits, we will enjoy lunch at a really special place that was opened the same year Sri Lanka won the ’96 Cricket World Cup, and where there is a display of a lot of antique cricket memorabilia. The objects have been collected from many international events & players recreating the entire timeline of cricket history. The atmosphere is information and perfect for a real cricket fan.
In the afternoon, you have an option between a private softball match with a local team, or to watch a domestic/international match depending on availability. For the private softball match, it will be just outside of Colombo on a practicing ground, and we’ll need at least one hour to account for the drive.
The full experience is included with the price, except for lunch, which is very affordable at $10-15 per person.
