Kalpitiya Whale & Dolphin Watching Tour from Negombo

Colombo Trip Overview

Kalpitiya is a sleepy little fishing hamlet that is famous for whale watching, as the temperatures and the marine ecosystem that thrives in its surrounding waters have made it a haven for the largest mammals in the world. This would be among the top 10 in any nature lovers bucket list. And what better way to do it than right here in Sri Lanka! The best thing about Whale watching in Kalpitiya is that you do not need to travel too far out into open seas unlike the other Whale watching locations in Sri Lanka. A Whale watching experience will leave you spellbound and in awe of nature’s magnificent creations. Spotting a Whale in these waters equals to seeing a majestic Elephant in the Sri Lankan jungle. Your whale watching experience here will be most successful during the months between November to April, as a large population of whales migrate from foreign waters, followed by pods of dolphins. A Naturalist with expert knowledge on Marine life will accompany you
