It is a great place to explore, bathe and relax among the sun and waves. The beach has a great vibe to it and is also popular for activities such as swimming, snorkelling and surfing. Sea turtles can also be seen in this area of Mirissa.This ‘Secret Beach’ is actually a Not-so-secret beach in Mirissa as many people now know about it. Parrot rock is a small island along the Mirissa Beach. The beach is incredibly easy to access and gives you a stunning view of the beach. Parrot Rock in Mirissa is a stunning location that tourists can visit in a short amount of time. It is a rock formation next to the beach and surrounded by the ocean on three sides. Tourists can climb on top of the rock and witness a gorgeous panoramic view of the whole Mirissa Beach. Parrot Rock is just about 50 feet from the Mirissa Beach shore and visitors have to walk through the water to reach the rock.

Galle is the administrative capital of Southern Province, Sri Lanka and is the district capital of Galle District. Galle reached the height of its development in the 18th century, during the Dutch colonial period. Galle is the best example of a fortified city built by the Portuguese in South and Southeast Asia, showing the interaction between Portuguese architectural styles and native traditions. The city was extensively fortified by the Dutch during the 17th century from 1649 onwards. The Galle fort is a world heritage site and is the largest remaining fortress in Asia built by European occupiers.
