Yapahuwa is located a little way off the Kurunegala-Anuradhapura road, in the Wayamba province of Sri Lanka. Of all the ancient ruins in the country, the Rock Fortress Complex of Yapahuwa is considered to be quite remarkable despite the fact that it isn’t famous among most visitors.

Pallepola is a rural area ideally located with the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Kandy to the south and Dambulla, Sigiriya and Polonnaruwa to the north. Many faming estates, predominantly coconut plantations, surround Pallepolla. We particularly love Jim’s Farm, a working organic farm with a boutique room spread through its grounds.

Ancient temple with good old paintings on wall and Buddha statues. Around 160 MT high rock temple situated in natural caves having reclining Buddha statues. Caves are having paintings on walls & ceilings of different eras crafted by different kings.

Kaduruwela area is the Polonnaruwa New Town and the other part of Polonnaruwa remains as the royal ancient city of the Kingdom of Polonnaruwa. The second most ancient of Sri Lanka ‘s kingdoms, Polonnaruwa was first established by the Chola dynasty after their successful invasion of the country’s then-capital, Anuradhapura, in the 10th century.

Anamaduwa is a typical Sri Lankan village surrounded by a vast network of ancient irrigation tanks that, just like natural lakes, attract a variety of birdlife and support the locals that live nearby. The village and tanks are flanked by evergreen dry zone forest attracting deer, giant squirrel as well as wild boar.

The historic Paramakanda Rajamaha Viharaya lies on the majestic and mysterious Paramakanda Rock in Anamaduwa belonging to the Putnam District. The ruins indicate that once the complex covered the whole rock formation. The cave temple is believed to be the work of King Walagamba (89-77 BC).
