Polonnaruwa was the thriving commercial and religious centre of Sri Lanka about 800 years ago. It consists of a lot of temples and religious buildings. Visit the royal palace, swimming pool, audience hall, Buddha figures at Gal Vihara etc. Fees apply for ticket to visit the site.
