Itinerary
Day 1: Negombo/Colombo – Ella
Stop At: Little Adam’s Peak, Passara Road, Ella 90090 Sri Lanka
Little Adam’s Peak is the easiest hiking trail in Ella. Hiking up to the peak takes about another 2 hours, if you take it slowly and enjoy the views through the tea plantations while you’re hiking.The pyramid shaped rock is called Little Adam’s Peak as it is a lighter version of the famous Adam’s Peak. It sits directly on the opposite side of Ella Rock so that you have beautiful views over the hills. The path up the hill of Little Adam`s Peak is super easy to find as it is marked by signs

Stop At: Nine Arches Bridge, Ella Sri Lanka
The beautiful Nine Arch Bridge of stone is situated between Ella and Demodara train station. The stone bridge is almost 100 years and is absolutely worth seeing if you’re in Ella. The Nine Arch Bridge, also known as The Bridge in the Sky, is a man-made masterpiece ideally located in the ‘hill country’ of Ella in Sri Lanka. Over the past couple of years, Ella has become a tourist hotspot due to its profuse green scenery, hiking trails, epic waterfalls, historical caves and of course, the Nine Arch Bridge! Standing at 80ft tall, 25ft wide and 300ft tall, the bridge and its surrounding area have seen a huge increase in tourism due to the bridge’s architectural ingenuity and the plentiful foliage in the nearby hillsides. It is definitely a sight to behold if you’re travelling through Ella.

The awe-inspiring Ravana Falls in Ella, Sri Lanka is one of the most popular waterfalls in the region and not to be missed during your visit. In the misty mountains of tropical Sri Lanka, the wide Ravana falls gushes down a height of 82 feet falling from an oval concave rock. Located in the Ravana Ella Wildlife Sanctuary in Ella, this waterfall is the source of many legends and secrets. The water gushes down a height of 25 meters fallen from an oval concave rock. Ravana Falls is a 3-tier cascading waterfall, creating rock pools along its way down.

Day 2: Ella – Negombo/Colombo
Stop At: Uva Halpewatte Tea Factory, Badulla Road, Hela Halpe, Ella, Sri Lanka 90090, Sri Lanka
Built in 1940, during the British rule, the factory is perched 1,230 meters above sea level in the cool climes of the Uva region, located 200 Kms from Colombo and 6 Kms from Ella, a picturesque little hamlet in the Uva province. The tea factory was acquired by Mr A.P.D Abeyrathne, Chairman of U.H.E Group, in 1970 as a small-scale factory producing only 20,000 kg per month back in the day. The factory offers a number of activities, from trekking through lush green tea gardens, tea picking, and learning tea manufacturing process to finally savouring your own cuppa to complete the tea journey.

The Flying Ravana Mega Zipline is Sri Lanka’s first ever zip-line situated on the Ella – Passara Road in Ella. This two-wire zip-line stretches for exceeding half a kilometer while sliding at 80 kmph. At the same time it offers the adventurous a bird’s-eye view of the beautiful hills of the Ella and its surroundings. It is located very close to one of the main attractions in Ella, Little Adam’s Peak. Flying Ravana is truly, Ella in all its glory.

Standing at an elevation of 1,041 metres above sea level, Ella Town is located right in the centre of the island, and you can start the Ella Rock hike directly from the main high street. The Ella Rock Hike Tour will allow you to hike up to the peak of Ella Rock, which has some beautiful views. The track up the peak is averagely strenuous and has quite a few interesting things to see. This picturesque a three hour hike takes you up to Ella Rock, which is one of the highest viewpoints in the area. Watch the distant Namunukula Range and Little Adam’s Peak along the way.
