Stop At: Kanneliya Rain Forest Reserve, Koralegama Sri Lanka

07.30 AM – You will be greeted and picked up by our driver and driven to Kanneliya Rain forest.

08.00 AM – On arrival to Kanneliya, trekking guide will give you a brief introduction about the tour and start the tour. The Kanneliya forest complex shows a degree of floral endemicity, as 17% of lowland endemic floral species are confined to this forest area. 319 woody plants recorded in the area and about 52% are endemic. The vegetation of Kanneliya Forest complex represents Sri Lanka lowland rain forests. In addition to that, 220 fauna species recorded from the Kanneliya Forest. This includes 41 endemic species. The forest complex is home to 86 species mammals including 4 species of shrews, 5 rodents, one carnivore and 2 primates. Furthermore, 20 of endemic birds can be seen in Kanneliya out of 26 in Sri Lanka.
