What to Expect When Visiting Hambantota, Southern Province, Sri Lanka
Explore the village of Yala with Team Beyond Escapes. You will paddle through the narrow roads passing paddy fields and many more countryside attractions. On this trip, you can explore neighboring villages and life of the rural people that make memorable experience for you.
08.30 am – You will be picked up from the passenger pier at Hambantota harbor by your local guide and driven to starting point of the cycling tour.
09:45 am – On arrival at Tissamaharama, your very own cycling guide will give you a brief introduction about this tour and safety requirements.
10:00 am – You will pedal through the village of Magampura and arrive to Kirinda passing some wonderful countryside scenery. Stop at scenic locations to capture breath-taking views to take back home. You will also encounter fauna like birds; butterflies; monitors and crocodiles while you cycle crossing this village.
Witness the daily chores of the villagers; rice fields and vegetable gardens during your tour. Meet locals and have a small chat with them. Don’t forget to take a snapshot with them, definitely you will create a smile on their face for the day.
12.30 pm – At the end of the cycling tour, you will be transferred back to the Hambantota harbor.
13:30 hrs – You will be dropped-off at the passenger pier at Hambantota harbor concluding your shore excursion.
