Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is a Buddhist temple in the city of Kandy, Sri Lanka. This is located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, which houses the relic of the tooth of the Buddha. Since ancient times, the relic has played an important role in local politics because it is believed that whoever holds the relic holds the governance of the country. Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings and is a World Heritage Site mainly due to the temple.

This place attracts 2 million visitors annually. It is near the Mahaweli River (the longest in Sri Lanka). The garden includes more than 4000 species of plants, including orchids, spices, medicinal plants, and palm trees. The total area of the botanical garden is 147 acres (0.59 km2), at 460 meters above sea level.

This hill located on Gampola. Ambuluwalwa is considered one of the must-visit places in Gampola, a small town situated close to Kandy. It is about 1,965 feet from the level of Gampola town. The entire place is richly diverse, comprising of evergreen forests, blossomed flower plants as well creepers, with about 200 different kinds of plants from 80 plant families. A number of medicinal plants are also grown here, namely Iramusu, Muva Kiriya, and Nawa Handi. There is a key reason behind the cool mountain air. Ambuluwawa is surrounded by other mountains such as Pidurutalagala on the Eastern side, Bathalagela (Bible Rock) on the West, Sri Pada (Adams Peak) to the South, and the Knuckles range in the North. Ambuluwala is the only Sri Lankan mountain peak surrounded by other mountains adding exquisite beauty to the scenery.
