Morawala is a very popular sea bathing spot among the locals. Located right in front of Nimal’s café, Morawala is well known for its natural pool made out of a coral reef. Take a refreshing dip before or after the meal and spend the rest of the morning here.

This is Nimal’s little beach House and Café. Join him in preparing a lovely meal with the fish and veggies you bought at the market. Enjoy the meal with a nice cold Lion Beer.
The Market tour will begin with a visit to the vegetable market where you can take a walk with Nimal and pick the fresh veggies and condiments for the day’s meal. Don’t be surprised to find many different types of leafy vegetable and types of Yams you have never seen before, that we use a lot in Sri Lankan cuisine.
Next the Fish market where fresh catch of local fishermen brought ashore and sold. Take a walk around and help Nimal to pick the best from the sea. A sneak peak at the dry fish area will be an interesting one. Take a short drive to Nimal’s little beach Café right by the popular bathing spot ‘ Morawala’. The natural pool on the beach is so inviting you may wanna hang around longer after the activity.
