You will be starting your tour from the Main Private Bus Station of Panadura at 2:00 pm. A guide will come and pick you up. He will bring you to the local baker’s home, where a small home-based bakery is done.

After being introduced to the baker, you will be taken around the bakery’s back-end to see the various equipment. These will be different from the standard modern equipment nowadays, as the bakery uses a very traditional method. From mixing the dough to firing the clay oven, you will be taught the entire process.
You will also get to learn of the various local and rare flours and other ingredients that are used in baking in Sri Lanka. Then you will get a chance to try your hand at firing the oven and learning to make your own bread with the guidance of the baker.
