Day 2: Galle – Galle

Stop At: Koggala Lake, Koggala 80506 Sri Lanka
09:30, After breakfast, start your exciting day with one of the expert TukTuk driver guides in Galle. Your guide will drive you to the first place in your itinerary; the Spice Garden on Koggala Lake. There you will be taking part in a short tour around the Gardens where you will see the spice plantations and will be able to learn more about the spices of Sri Lanka.

Stop At: Japanese Peace Pagoda, Rumassala, Unawatuna 80600 Sri Lanka
10:45 Your next stop will be the glimmering white Peace Pagoda on Rumassala. According to the Hindu literary classic Ramayana the hillock is believed to be the legendary piece of Himalayas believed to have been dropped by Hanuman.

Stop At: Jungle Beach, Unawatuna 80600 Sri Lanka
11:30 You will be stopping by the little known Jungle Beach with its clear waters that are perfect for swimming.

Stop At: Sea Turtle Hatchery, E.K.Sunil Fernando S.A.Rohan Chaminda, Urawatte, Ambalangoda 80300 Sri Lanka
12:00 You will be taken to see a Sea Turtle Hatchery and Rehabilitation Center. You will be able to learn more about how the eggs are collected and hatched safely in order to protect them from predators. Please note that physical interaction with Turtles strictly prohibited in this activity.

Stop At: Koggala Lake, Koggala 80506 Sri Lanka
12:45 You will be driven to Koggala Beach. Along your way you will be able to see many stilt fishermen and can stop to talk to them and take some photos. 13:00 Arrive at Koggala Beach. You will be able to relax there and sunbathe for a while.

13:30 You will be visiting a local village lady named Debbi, who will make some of her mouthwatering delicacies for you to feast on.

Day 3: Galle – Galle

Stop At: Galle Fort, Church Street, Galle 80000 Sri Lanka
Today after a good night’s sleep and breakfast, you will proceed to do a cycling tour where you will be taken through small dirt roads to a local village. Experience the countryside of Galle on a memorable cycling tour with Beyond Escapes Cycling crew. You will enjoy the rural countryside attractions and admire the life of rural villagers. This tour will also give you a bird watching experience in a lagoon. The total cycling trail is just 12 kilometers. Helmets, bicycles, first aid, refreshments and water bottles are provided during the cycling tour.

In the afternoon, you will enjoy a walking tour in the dutch fort of Galle. Galle Fort was built by the Portuguese in 1588, and then extensively fortified by the Dutch during the 17th century. It is a historical, archaeological and architectural heritage monument, which even after more than 423 years maintains a polished appearance, due to extensive reconstruction work was done by Archaeological Department of Sri Lanka. The heritage value of the fort has been recognized by the UNESCO and the site has been inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
