Itinerary
Day 1: From Colombo to Dambulla & Elephant Safari
Stop At: Colombo, Colombo, Western Province
Our chauffeur guide will be greeting you with “Ayubowan” (May you live long) and then we will be proceeding to Dambulla in central Sri Lanka. Please advise the chauffeur if you need any stop for a break or taking pictures on the way through Colombo or in the countryside.

Stop At: Golden Temple of Dambulla, Dambulla 21100 Sri Lanka
Among the hundreds of cave temples of Sri Lanka, the Golden Temple of Dambulla is by far the most impressive one. This World Heritage Site has not only the largest painted caves but also the highest quality Kandyan paintings found anywhere on the island.

Stop At: Minneriya National Park, Maradankadawala-Habarana-Thirukkondaiadimadu Highway, 50150 Sri Lanka
Take part in an afternoon safari to see dozens or sometimes even hundreds of wild elephants. Depending on the their seasonal migration, the safari could take place in Kaudulla National Park or Hurulu Eco Park instead of Minneriya National park.

Day 2: Sigiriya & Polonnaruwa World Heritage Sites
Stop At: Sigiriya The Ancient Rock Fortress, Sigiriya 21120 Sri Lanka
Sigiriya, one of the most popular tourist destinations on the island, is a World Heritage Site with many attractions, such as Lion Rock, fortifications, ancient gardens, famous frescoes of cloud maidens, mirror wall, giant lion’s paw and summit palace with stunning view 360 degrees.

Stop At: Polonnaruwa Vatadage, Sacred City, Polonnaruwa Sri Lanka
Polonnaruwa was the medieval capital of Sri Lanka. The archaeological site is crowded with ruins of richly decorated temples and palaces and includes the iconic group of rock-cut Buddhist statues which are among the most celebrated pieces of Asian art.

Pass By: Trincomalee, Sri Lanka
Drop-off will be in the hotel of your choice in Trincomalee or at the beaches of Uppuveli or Nilveli further North.
