Stop At: Negombo, Negombo, Western Province

Day 1: Airport – Negombo
Welcome to Sri Lanka! – Full of romantic landscapes, stirring mountains, lush green tea gardens and golden beaches, the island nation of Sri Lanka is nothing short of magnificent. The country has no shortage of beautiful awe-inspiring spots, natural, historic and cultural, each more picture perfect than the next.
Upon arrival in the airport you will be met by our representative and transferred to Negombo. For newly arrived travelers it is often a welcomed alternative to the hectic and happening Colombo. Check in to your hotel and rest for a few hours before capturing the streets of Negombo on a city tour. You will visit the colonial remains of the Dutch period, a Buddhist temple and a catholic church. You will get close to slow life in the local fishing village; walk the lively fish market, and the bustling bazaar.

Stop At: Sigiriya, Sigiriya, Central Province

Day 2: Negombo – Sigiriya
After a delicious breakfast and a cup of hot Sri Lankan tea proceed to Sigiriya.

Sigiriya is world popular for its mirror wall and paintings. Near to the entrance to Sigiriya, you can see the ancient irrigation system which the King Kasyappa had implemented in ancient time to serve the palace needs and the agriculture. Climb the 5th century Sigiriya Rock Fortress – an UNESCO world heritage site, built by King Kashyapa (477-495 AD). The ‘Lion Rock’ is a citadel of unusual beauty rising 200 metres from the scrub jungle. A moat, rampart, and extensive gardens including the renowned water gardens ring the base of the rock. Discover the world-renowned frescoes of the ‘Heavenly Maidens’ of Sigiriya, which are in a sheltered pocket of the rock approached by a spiral stairway.

Stop At: Polonnaruwa, Polonnaruwa, North Central Province

Day 3: Sigiriya – Dambulla – Polonnaruwa
After Breakfast proceed to Dambulla which is also a UNESCO heritage site in Sri Lanka. In Dambulla you can see the complex of cave temples. Dambulla rock is about 160 m height, and there are about 80 caves around this area. Anyhow only five caves are popular among tourists. The paintings in the caves describe the life of lord Buddha and Buddhism. There are statues of Lord Buddha, Hindu gods, goddesses and kings in the caves. Stop for lunch in a nearby restaurant and later in the afternoon you have the option to visit the ancient city of Polonnaruwa – An UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best planned archaeological relic sites in the country. The relics stand as testimonials of the greatness of the Kingdom’s first rulers and are spread across a huge area. Therefore, expect a decent amount of walking, but we guarantee it’ll be worth it.

Stop At: Kandy, Kandy, Kandy District, Central Province

Day 4: Polonnaruwa – Kandy
After a delicious breakfast proceed to Kandy – a large city in central Sri Lanka. It’s set on a plateau surrounded by mountains, which are home to tea plantations and bio diverse rain forest. Your on-wards after that visit to spice garden . Then Visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth relic – The golden-roofed Temple of the Sacred Tooth houses Sri Lanka’s most important Buddhist relic – a tooth of the Buddha. It is a must visit location for all tourists. Visitors can catch a glimpse of Buddhist rituals, explore the museum that includes several ancient artifacts, and pay your tribute to the tooth relic at one of the Buddhist ceremonies held at the premises. The architectural splendor and the historical importance of the Dalada Maligawa are sure to amaze you. Points of interest are: the Aluth Maligawa, Audience Hall and the World Buddhism Museum.
