Day 2: Negombo – Galle

Stop At: Galle, Galle, Galle District, Southern Province
Enjoy some breakfast then you are heading out before midday to Sigiriya, upon arrival at Galle then you will check in to the hotel for the relaxing afterward, you will visit Galle city for the observation.

A city on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka. Its known for Galle Fort, the fortified old city founded by Portuguese colonists in the 16th century. Stone seawalls, expanded by the Dutch, encircle car-free streets with architecture reflecting Portuguese, Dutch and British rule. Notable buildings include the 18th-century Dutch Reformed Church. Galle Lighthouse stands on the fort’s southeast tip. Built by the Dutch, beginning in 1663, Galle’s core is the Fort, a walled enclave surrounded on three sides by the ocean. A key part of the Fort’s appeal is that it isn’t just a pretty place. Sure, tourism now dominates the local economy, but this unique city remains a working communist.

Day 3: Galle To Mirissa

Stop At: Mirissa, Mirissa, Southern Province
After an early breakfast, we depart from the hotel around 0730HRS towards Mirissa to embark on a whale-watching tour. The duration of the whale watching tour depends on spotting the whales, usually, it is up to 4 hours. You will be provided with an adequate amount of water. Soft drinks and snacks during the activity.

The south tip of Sri Lanka is the easiest place to see blue whales in a very short time. And especially Mirissa & Weligama areas are the well-known spotting places of the blue whales in the entire world. Sperm whales, right whales, killer whales, whale sharks, turtles, and kinds of dolphins are also spotted in this part of the island all around the year whale watching near Mirissa. It depends on what month you are traveling. November through April is whale watching season.

A Sri Lankan coastal city famous for golden beaches, Bentota is situated on the southern coastal tip of the Galle District of the Southern Province . The town is a popular tourist attraction. It is especially famous among the foreign tourists. The name comes from a mythical story which dates back to kings time saying a demon called Bem ruled this river ( tota = riverbank. Bentota hosts a handful of world proclaimed hotels. It is the hosting land for the famous Sri Lankan Jeweler Aida. Bentota also delivers an ancient art of healing called Ayurveda . Bentota is also famous for its production in Toddy. An alcoholic beverage made out of coconut nectar. The city’s population is estimated to be between 25,000-50,000.

In the evening you are walking to another famous beach Hikkaduwe with your local guide.

Foreign and local tourists come to see the famous “coral gardens” of Hikkaduwe, for the tourist who doesn’t like to get their feet wet glass bottom boats are available while others snorkel to reach them which are filled with brightly coloured corals and marine life.

Day 6: Bentota – Colombo – Airport

Today you are taking the final breakfast in Sri Lanka. You will drive to Colombo to the exploring Colombo city on the way stop at Mandu River for the taking an amazing boat ride on the Madu River.

Madu River, a wetland estuary spreading over 900 hectares of which 770 hectares is covered with water and inhabited with 64 islands. The boat ride is a wonderful way to take a closer look at this complex wetland ecosystem, a world heritage site protected by the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands, being one of the last wetlands in Sri Lanka to contain a pristine mangrove forest. Journey past massive mangrove forests, glide under the canopy of the forest tunnels as they curve playfully towards the watercourse.
