Village Tour Experience a village tour learning and connecting with the authentic rural life of Sri Lanka. An interesting excursion involving traditional rides on a bullock cart, through the lakes via local catamaran and interactions with the farmers and villagers ending with a typical home cooked meal in one of their homes.

Dambulla is the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. The rock towers 160 m over the surrounding plains. There are more than 80 documented caves in the surrounding area. Major attractions are spread over five caves, which contain statues and paintings. These paintings and statues are related to Gautama Buddha and his life. There are a total of 153 Buddha statues, three statues of Sri Lankan kings and four statues of gods and goddesses.

This wholesale market operates 24 hours per day and is absolutely packed with trucks and trollies packed with fruit and vegetables in bags, boxes, nets, on pallets and loose, vendors, buyers, traders, carriers, and other workers. The range and volume are astounding and the atmosphere wonderful!

Large numbers of Sri Lankan elephants are attracted to grass fields on the edges of the Minneriya Tank during the dry season. The Minneriya tank contributes to sustain a large herd.
Elephants gathered at Minneriya National Park is numbering around 150-350.
