Mindful Forest Bath

Mirahawatta Trip Overview

Forest Bathing is a concept that is growing steadily in the rest of the world, but not as yet in Sri Lanka, although the country hosts the first Analog Forest, started in 1983 from a degraded soil of an abandoned tea estate.
We will explain and show you the Forest and its different ecosystems, the wealth of its restored biodiversity (some species being endemic and/or endangered), the interesting uses of some of the plants…
But on top of that, we will also introduce you to some other activities that will make this experience more than just a walk around a beautiful forest; breath work, mindfulness activities and guided relaxation will add another type of spiritual level to your time in the jungle.
Rachel, your host, is a certified Yoga teacher, Sound healer, Mindfulness practitioner, Nature camps leader, and is currently being trained in Shinrin Yoku (Japanese “Forest Bathing”) and Analog Forestry.
