Itinerary

Day 1: Colombo Aypot to thissamaharama

Stop At: Colombo, Colombo, Western Province
You will be met by a tour representative from the airport arrival. Then you will proceed to thissamaharama .and you will check-in at a hotel (hotel standards depends on your selection of the tour. Hotel standards vary from Budget / Economy hotels to Standard hotels to Luxury hotels). You will spend the day, relaxing at your leisure or depending on your arrival time we do safari in this evening or next day early morning.

Stop At: Tissa Wewa, Tissamaharama Sri Lanka
Yala National Park is a huge area of forest, grassland and lagoons bordering the Indian Ocean, in southeast Sri Lanka. It’s home to wildlife such as leopards, elephants and crocodiles, as well as hundreds of bird species.

Day 3: Nuwera Eliya

Stop At: Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka
After breakfast You will go on a train ride from Ella to nuwaraeliya and driver will pick you from the nuwara eliya(nanu oya railway station)and drive to kandy by car en route visiting tea factory,water falls,and tea plantations. Scenic Train Ride The views on both sides of the rail are breathtaking. The train winds through the mountains overlooking farms and villages and of course vast tea plantations. The scenery changes throughout the trip. Often at times you are looking out at a entire green view then the next minute you are in the middle of a woodland forest.

Nuwara Eliya (City of Lights) is a resort city in the Central Mountain Range of Sri Lanka. Blessed a with salubrious climate, breathtaking views of valleys, meadows, mountains and greenery; it’s hard to imagine that Nuwara Eliya is only 180 Km from the Colombo. Nuwara Eliya, also known as ‘Little’ England’, was the favorite hill station of the British who tried to create the resort into a typical English Village. The old brick Post office, country house like hill club, with its hunting pictures, mounted hunting trophies and fish, and it’s strict formal dinner attire; the 18 hole golf course, race course etc., evoke nostalgia of Colonial British Ceylon.

Day 4: Kandy Cety tour

Stop At: Kandy, Kandy, Kandy District, Central Province
After breakfast. we are going to visit around the kandy.Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic (Dalada Maligawa) and botanical garden also later enjoy a cultural Kandyan dance performance. Temple of Tooth, Sri Dalada Maligawa or the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is a Buddhist temple in the city of Kandy, Sri Lanka. It is located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, which houses the relic of the tooth of the Buddha You will spend the night at the hotel in Kandy.

Stop At: Peradeniya, Peradeniya, Kandy District, Central Province
Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, Peradeniya are about 5.5 km to the west of the city of Kandy in the Central Province of Sri Lanka. It attracts 2 million visitors annually. It is near the Mahaweli River. It is renowned for its collection of orchids.

Day 5: Kandy to Sigriya

Stop At: Dambulla, Sri Lanka
After breakfast we drive to visit hindu temple in mathale town,,then dambulla cave temple and after lunch proceed to the hotel where we plant to stay over night at sigiriya Hindu temple-Matale Hindu Temple, Muthumariamman Temple or Arulmigu Sri Muthumari Amman Kovil is a temple in Matale, Sri Lanka. The prefix “Muthu”, literally means “pearl”. “Mari” means rain and “Amman” means mother.

Stop At: Dambulla Town, Dambulla, Sri Lanka
Dambulla cave-Dambulla is the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. The rock towers 160 m over the surrounding plains. There are more than 80 documented caves in the surrounding area. Major attractions are spread over five caves, which contain statues and paintings. These paintings and statues are related to Gautama Buddha and his life. There are a total of 153 Buddha statues, three statues of Sri Lankan kings and four statues of gods and goddesses. The latter include Vishnu and the Ganesha. The murals cover an area of 2,100 square metres (23,000 sq ft). Depictions on the walls of the caves include the temptation by the demon Mara, and Buddha’s first sermon.

Day 6: Polonaruwa

Stop At: Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka
After breakfast the next morning, you will visit the archaeological city of polonnaruwa, after this you can have a nice lunch and then drive to the trinkomalee beach east cost. Polonnaruwa was a great city in Sri Lanka which came in to prominence during its’ brief period of 2 Centuries of Sri Lankan history, being second only to the ancient city of Anuradhapura in ancient cultural heritage. Polonnaruwa today is a showcase of the great ancient Sri Lankan architecture dating back to 12th Century AD ,which was interwoven with many Buddhist monasteries and monuments which were built by the King Parakramabahu I.

Day 7: Mirissa Beach

Pass By: Mirissa Beach, Mirissa 81740 Sri Lanka
In the morning proceed to Mirissa beach. Afternoon relax on the beach. Mirissa is one of the main beach destinations in southern Sri Lanka. The area has it all,beautiful beaches, surf waves, whale watching and great bars and restaurants. Mirissa is developing quickly over the last couple of years so it’s also getting more crowded. There are still enough spots where you can enjoy a fresh coconut from your hammock seeing the sunrise.

Day 8: Whale Watching, Galle to Colombo Ayapot

Stop At: Galle Fort, Church Street, Galle 80000 Sri Lanka
In the morning possibility to go for whale watching.
The Whale and Dolphin watching in Mirissa are one of the most thrilling water activities in Sri Lanka. The warm waters around Sri Lanka are ideal to spot blue whales, Bryde´s whales, sperm whales, fin whales, common dolphins, bottlenose dolphins and sometimes killer whales. Spinner dolphins, Risso’s dolphins, and striped dolphin can be seen too. The whale watching season starts in November and ends in April when the waters are warm and calm. Whale watching boats can ideally carry up to 40 passengers at a time with an observation deck. Whale watching tours usually start around 7.00 am as boats leave the harbour around that time and last about 3.5- 4 hours.

Afternoon drive to Galle and visit Galle Fort. Galle is the capital city of the Southern Province of Sri Lanka. Galle reached the height of its development in the 18th century, during the Dutch colonial period. Galle is the best example of a fortified city built by the Portuguese in South and Southeast Asia, showing the interaction between Portuguese architectural styles and native traditions. The city was extensively fortified by the Dutch during the 17th century from 1649 onwards. Old Town of Galle and its Fortifications is a UNESCO world heritage site and is the largest remaining fortress in Asia built by European occupiers.
You will be dropped off at the Bandaranaike International Airport confirming the end of the tour.
