Yala is one of the most popular National park of Si Lanka which has 5 blocks and a area of 130,000 hectares consisting of light forests, scrubs, grasslands, tanks and lagoons. This national park was designated in 1938 and was a hunting ground for the British rule and later on it is believed that a dense number of spices has make the homeland of this area
