Stop At: Udawalawe National Park, Udawalawe National Park

Go on a fun-filled safari in Udawalawe National Park to spot elephants; deers, sloth bears, buffaloes, mongooses as well as species of birds. Udawalawe is popular as the perfect place to see herds of freely roaming elephants in their own habitats. Jeep safari into the park usually run in the early morning at 05:30 AM or afternoon at 02:30 PM, avoiding the midday heat when the animals are resting.

Stop At: Elephant Transit Home (ETH), 5km west of the Uda Walawe National Park entrance, Udawalawe National Park Sri Lanka

Either before or after completing the safari, visit the elephant transit home just outside the national park, renowned as the first elephant transit home in Asia. This is home to orphaned and sick elephants till they get strong enough to return to the wild. Do not miss the feeding times which are 09:00 AM; 03:00 PM and 06:00 PM.
