What to Expect When Visiting Unawatuna, Southern Province, Sri Lanka
Join us for our Safari if you are looking for an unique experience to explore Sri Lankas wildlife. Our aim is to offer affordable tours, with a great vibe. We are ready to rock it! And what about you?
Itinerary
The tour includes the transport and entrance to the Udawalawe National Park, which is one of the biggest in Sri Lanka. It is known for it’s large Asian Elephant population, as well as water buffalos, peacocks, jackals, crocodiles among others.
We will go on the Safari with a Jeep, which is also able to access rugged areas of the park. A guide is giving lots of information about the wildlife along the journey. You will have the chance to enjoy a picknick, while watching the wild animals around us, as we stay around 4 hours in the national park.
Afterwards we visit the Elephant transit home. There we get to watch orphaned baby elephants getting feeded by the rangers.
Before returning to the hostel, we will go for a typical sri lankan buffet.
